So hows life where you are? Where I am was looking bleak for a while.
With the death of Wookie then my 28 year old cousin, I was overdosing on
thoughts of life and death and how it all seems so trivial in the long
run. I've been around now for 25 years and in that time I've learned a
lot but I want to live till I'm 400 so I cam do everything I plan to do.
Just the other day a few of my mates jumped out of a plane for the
first time. That took guts and they did it for charity as well! I
sponsered them a fiver but I don't know if I'd do it myself. I want to
but there's other things to do first like.. live.
It's true that I don't follow the Amiga scene as closely as I used to
do these days. The snippits of information I do pick up are never
promising but I continue to support my group and The Word because it's
something I like to do. I've been spending some time on the net these
days chatting to other Amiga scene groups and magazine editors about the
scene and The Word. I'm hoping that by spreading it across the world
we'll get more feedback from overseas.
If anyone reading this knows Big Rat that produces the X-Files, shove a
rocket up his butt and tell him to reply to his emails! ;)
So you've finished reading this mag in like, a day and now your bored
right? Well nows the time to contribute your thoughts to the rest of
us. Believe it or not you are not alone in this world and there are
like minded people on this spacial debris who wonder about the same
things and have similar interests to yourself so why not share? The
Word is for an article on anything you can think of. Sure we like
talking about beautiful women, cool music and alcholic drinks but as we
age we'd like to hear about other stuff like finances, technology, news,
travel and culture so why not educate us? Just call us the FHM of
cyberspace.
People keep telling us that the Amiga is dying and there are fewer and
fewer Amiga owners out there today so why not let us hear your voice
even if it is to send in a letter?
